Duncan Lishman

Duncan is a competition economist and Manager in Frontier Economics’ Competition practice in London.

He has more than a decade's experience advising clients on competition damages litigation, merger control, market inquiries and abuse of dominance cases before competition authorities and courts in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and South Africa. Recent matters include antitrust damages claims in the Trucks litigation before the UK's Competition Appeal Tribunal (CAT) and Amsterdam District Court, and the Merchant Interchange Fee Umbrella Proceedings before the CAT.

Beyond competition, Duncan has advised on regulatory and policy issues in the energy and transport sectors, and on disputes involving international trade.

Prior to consulting, he lectured at the University of Cape Town’s School of Economics and led its undergraduate writing programme. He holds Honours degrees in Finance and in Economics, and a Master’s in Economics, all from the University of Cape Town.
