Mette works in Frontier’s competition practice and heads our Brussels office. She has been working as an economic consultant in this area since 1999.
She handles competition cases across Frontier’s Brussels, Cologne/Berlin and London offices, advising clients on merger cases, cartel cases including damages evaluation, litigation cases and the assessment of market power and abusive conduct. She has worked on a large number of competition cases before the European Commission and national competition authorities and courts, particularly in Germany, but also in other countries such as Austria, Denmark and the UK, spanning a wide range of industries.
Interesting cases she has advised on include Lufthansa’s acquisition of ITA, London Stock Exchange’s acquisition of Refinitiv (both European Commission, Phase II), and abuse of dominance investigations by the Bundeskartellamt in relation to Facebook (now Meta).
Mette is regularly listed in the Lexology (formerly Who’s Who) lists, including most recently as ‘Global Elite Thought Leader’ in the Lexology Competition 2025 guide. She has also been recognised as one of the “40 in their 40s - Notable Women competition Professionals in Europe, the Americas and Africa” by W@.
Mette has previously worked for RBB Economics (Brussels) and NERA (Brussels and London). She is half German and half Danish, and fluent also in English and French.
